Canada's Walk of Fame

June 21, 2026

Established in 1998, Canada's Walk of Fame is a national registered charity that recognizes and celebrates Canadians who excel in their respective fields, fueling our sense of Canadian pride and inspiring the next generation to follow in their footsteps. The foremost honour for cultural excellence in Canada, Canada's Walk of Fame presents year-round events and programs to educate and foster pride among Canadians, support Canadian culture and provide a platform for emerging talent in Canada.

Programs include a festival featuring some of Canada's most popular and iconic performers, as well as emerging artists from across the country, the Peter Soumalias Unsung Hero Honour recognizing Canadians making a difference in their community, the Emerging Artist Music Mentorship program, and the nationally televised broadcast designated by the CRTC as a program of national interest.

With 2016's additions, 167 stars recognizing remarkable Canadians have a permanent place of tribute on Canada's Walk of Fame in the streets of Toronto's Entertainment District.

Fringe Festival

July 3, 2026

The Toronto Fringe is part of the “Fringe movement” – a worldwide network of indie theatre festivals. As the name suggests, the movement is about celebrating under-represented voices and those on the margins of the performing arts world. It’s a festival where anyone can put on any show, without having to pass through a jury – where theatre students can mount their first production outside of school, where emerging artists can get their big break, and where established artists can test out new work. It’s a festival where audiences come for the adventure and the community as much as for the plays themselves.

THE 2024 TORONTO FRINGE FESTIVAL WILL TAKE PLACE JULY 3-14, 2024.

Beaches Jazz Festival

July 4, 2026

The Beaches International Jazz Festival is a 10-day music festival held each year in the lakeside Beaches community of Toronto in the month of July. Originally started in 1988, it is now one of Canada's largest free jazz festivals with nearly 800,000 attendees, throughout its 10-day span. The Festival takes place across a number of venues; stage concerts are held in several different parks within the area and also along a two kilometre stretch of the Beach mainstreet - Queen Street East. Every year, the Festival brings in internationally acclaimed jazz performers while also showcasing local talent, including “new generation” jazz musicians.
